How to decarbon my force outboard?

Hi everybody (-Hi Dr. Nick)<br />I've read here that Force engines must me decarbonizes every year. Is it really that important? If so, what is the proper procedure for my 1992 Force 90HP? Also, I believe the lower unit on it is of 85HP 1987. What is the part number for an impeller? Are the impellers from 1987 compatible with 1990’s? Thanks, your help is really appreciated.<br />Ivan

Decarbing is always a good maintenance procedure, with any 2 cycle motor.<br /><br /> http://forums.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000016 <br /><br />All 85hp Force and all 90hp Force from 1990-1994, should use the same impeller. Sierra part number 18-3017<br />You can get it at a NAPA auto parts store, or order online.
