my drive is pre alpha r unit ser. 5400555 I think?
its mercuier 898
I am finding to diferant water pumps one with a drain one without
how do i determine witch one to get?
also can you tell me if this is the pre alpha (r) unit?

Ayuh,... Generally, parts are sold by serial numbers...

The pump yer askin' about should say in it's listing that it's for units up to Xxxx serial number, 'n another pump for serial numbers After whatever number it is...
I donno what yer lookin' at, nor where yer lookin', so it's pretty hard to say, What yer lookin' at...

Btw,... There's No Such Thing as a Pre-Alpha....
It's either a Model 1, or an "R", or a "MR", or of course, an Alpha 1....
