Im buying a boat from a guy who is not mechanically inclined this weekend. The boat runs fine but when you feed it alot of throttle and run fast 4500rpms+ the motor backs off a little and i noticed the bulb is crushed. Is there anyway for me to isolate the antisiphon valve? Worst comes to worse i guess i could remove it and connect the hose directly to the input of the gas tank. Also does anyone have a picture of a valve installed on a boat so i can track it quickly? From what ive read it should be in between the line and the tank somewhere on the top of the tank.

Thanks ahead of time

No pic. but the valve is ALWAYS located at the tank outlet. In most cases, it is the tank outlet.

Bulb it's a out board?

It's the 90 degree fitting on top of the onboard fuel tank.

Check the vent might be clogged.

Do a pressure test on it, or the fuel pickup tube might be clogged it's the tube connected to the anti-siphon valve.

Wish you included the make, model, hp, of the motor, might help.

You need the bulb to prime it. Take off the fitting that is the valve, and blow thru it should not be hard to blow thru, and any marine store will have one for you also check my first post.
