How to find a year model on a Johnson 70

I have the model and s/n..does anyone know how to tell or find out the year model... model 70EL76D....s/n J4533436..my dad and I think the last two number in the model number may be it, but just want to make sure..I'm new to boat motors..thanks for any help.

There was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago, and if I am not mistaken your 70 is a 1976 vintage.
