how to find model and year of a 7.5

can anyone tell me how to find year and model I looked and cant find any thing where it normaly is it seems that the bracket had been painted over or the sticker had been removed

Look on the powerhead (Starbord side, if I remember) for serial #.

Once you got the ser. #, try www.maxrules.com for model year guide.

I check the sn # on the block it read 4747501 and I went to the site but it did not have a matching sn #.
