how to fix high idle and engine kill

i purchased this SHUNFENG 2.5hp 4 stroke from China and have a problem with it idling too high on start up, as i am not a marine mechanic i need some help in correcting this. If someone can provide me with some diagrams of a simular make 2.5hp 4 stroke motor(ya i know it wont be the same but as long as it is close so i can follow steps)and instructions on how to correct this high idle it would be much appreciated. also the emergency kill(the red button on the tiller arm) wont actually kill the motor when you take off the squeeze plug that you put in front of it. i would not think that these are hard adjustments to fix so i hope someone can give me some help. please email me at: toomuchbeer@shaw.ca with any info on how to fix
