robby
sometimes its more trouble then its worth to remove the airbox. takes 1 min to remove the ISC hose on a v6 yam, takes 20 to r&r the airbox. takes 30 to do it on a f100. I get laughed at cause I am a lazy tech

I also get seasick

. but if I can accomplish a goal in the least amount of time i CAN SAVE MY CUSTOMERS ABOUT 1.10 A MINUTE. so for me a quick engine observation coupled with a knowledge of how the system works usually can save my customers a few coins. money beter spent elsewhere. paying me 30 dollars to r&r an airbox is money in my pocket but I dont have lots of time and so I try to find ways of doing it better and faster. I do this cause I absolutly love it. otherwise I would just take the airbox's off and charge them. most the places I work for bill at 70-85 per hour.
but yes your method will work just fine. crack the throttles slightly and fog away. no worries
good luck and keep posting
