Thanks Robby!!! I was not aware that it was a throttle body and could be sprayed the same way as a carb.Charlie

Same way as any other..squirt it right in the throttle body until it smokes and shut it off, then pull the plugs and spray the cylinders.

crazycharlie
I am not real familiar with the suzuki.
however most EFI motors do not draw air past the throttle shutters at idle.
on the yam f v6's I inject it directly into the ISC(IAC) hose. on the 115 I use the vacume ports on the intake. on some of the Hondas I use the vacume hose for the pressure regulator. but if the 140 EFI suzy motor has an ISC or IAC you can spray at the shutters all day long and get no oil past it.
maybe Fridaysmarine will pop on or another that is intimatly familiar with the suz-q 140 EFI.
if the inatke runners have vacume port plugs make and octopus with t-fittings and tubing and inject it that way.

Other than not getting the fogging oil through the throttle body, is there anything wrong with pulling the plugs and fogging directly into the cylinders?

Can't ya just kick it up a touch (1000rpm) and spray it in there? Ya would do it at a high idle anyway. Why is EVERYTHING getting so complicated?

robby
sometimes its more trouble then its worth to remove the airbox. takes 1 min to remove the ISC hose on a v6 yam, takes 20 to r&r the airbox. takes 30 to do it on a f100. I get laughed at cause I am a lazy tech :) I also get seasick :) . but if I can accomplish a goal in the least amount of time i CAN SAVE MY CUSTOMERS ABOUT 1.10 A MINUTE. so for me a quick engine observation coupled with a knowledge of how the system works usually can save my customers a few coins. money beter spent elsewhere. paying me 30 dollars to r&r an airbox is money in my pocket but I dont have lots of time and so I try to find ways of doing it better and faster. I do this cause I absolutly love it. otherwise I would just take the airbox's off and charge them. most the places I work for bill at 70-85 per hour.
but yes your method will work just fine. crack the throttles slightly and fog away. no worries :)
good luck and keep posting
