Put it in gear, remove prop, remove hydraulic tubes, loosen 6 nuts... I've gotten this far. Now I just can't get the dang thing to slip off. Seems like there's some corrosion around a few of the 6 bolts. I tried wedging wood in to a few diff places... nothing.

How do they get these things off when they're stuck on there??

(oh it's on the 86)

spray liquid wrench on the 6 studs and where it seperates, put in gear forward. Then try again.

there's no shifting in a TRS - can put it in any gear you want.

You wouldn't be the first, or the last.

Isn't it wonderful what "Lack of Maintenance" can cause.

Tilt your drive up as if you were putting it in the trailering position.Have a helper slip a 2"x4" between the front of the drive and the transom drive housing.Let the drive down to rest on the 2"x4".Now lift the drive a couple of inches and let it drop on the 2"x4".Doing this a couple times will usually make them pop right apart.
