How to get the pickup tube out??

going to inspect the pickup tube in my gas tank..i got the elbow loose and i can pull the tube out but gets stuck like there is something attached to it and wont come through the hole... can someone tell me whats going on here..thanks

What kind of gas tank do you have there? Plastic portable, Built in fuel cell, Steel tank? Did the gas tank come stock with your motor?

It is a stratos bass boat...it is a 38 gallon plastic tank...it appears to be stock

It would be best that you ask this question over in the stratos forum. I am not familiar with the design, and the pro's over there know them inside and out. Here is the link

thanks for your opinion and i did post something there. i do not see whats so different between a bass boats system and another boats....all the pics i have seen of fuel tanks and fuel line connectors appear to be all similar. but i surely dont know much about boat parts

Ok now I have a headache from the search.
From what I have gathered, I am speculating that the sending unit must be removed, then reach into the hole with a tool to unscrew the antisyphon valve on the end of the tube........another fine engineering job......

Or Or........lift up the tube and unscrew it from the elbow, push it into the tank, then remove it through the sending unit hole...........Where are those aspirin...
