As some of you know I have an 85 Johnson 150hp on a 17' Charger. I would like to try to improve the fuel milege a bit. I know the GT's and Fast Strikes, get much better than my gas eater. Any help would be great. Thanks
bmurray,

A two stroke 150 hp. engine is never going to be economical. I don't think you can use economy and 150 hp. in the same sentence.

The "loopers" will be more efficient by design.

The only way to make sure you are getting the max. is to keep your rpm's down. The rate of fuel useage between 3/4 and WOT is a very wide.
OK, I'm going to run a bit slower for sure, and get the prop fixed or get a new one. But what makes the GT's and Fast Strikes as much as 3x better on gas? This is from my local dealer. Thanks
