How about a couple pics of what you have now? I'm sure someone here has done it.

That's a ton of added weight on the swim platform, be cautious about the bouncing that will occur when trailering and in heavy seas. Any kicker I ever installed was hooked to the transom directly or hung off it. I'm sure you can do this project , I just have never seen how. Pictures will get you all kinds of very good ideas. Also knowing what size kicker you are installing and the weight??

Interesting bracket....I have not seen any installed on a swim platform. most are verticle installed and drilled through the transom... personally I'd look at a good electric trolling motor and not deal with drilling holes in your boat...... if you can accomplish what you want by another means. that's my opinion

Be cautious using the above style bracket, as you come off plane the wave that generally catches up to the boat can flood the kicker, I have seen this first hand. I guess it depends on the height of the swim platform and how the boat reacts in the situation I mentioned. Even just sitting in the water in heavy seas can cause the back of the boat to rise and lower to the point of water entering the kicker.

Re: how to insall kicker motor

agree but that goes for any platform mounted kicker..... not really the best setup
If you're really serious about fishing and thus need a kicker consider removing the full platform and putting a small one on one side and a traditional kicker mount on the other.

I suppose a person could put a snorkel on the kicker but it would be hard to make it look anything other than cheesy
