how to install a tach on 40hp mercury outboard

hello i am trying to find out some info. on where to get and how to install a tachometer on my 40hp merc. its a 2002 3 cylinder with electric start and it also has a stator / alternator.

any help would be appreciated.

You need the tach and a harness. The harness plugs into your remote. You can get both right here at iBoats.
