What product/method should I use to label the wiring in a boat? I have thought about getting a portable label maker, but they are $$$ and don't know if the labels will hold up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use the aforementioned markers plus I slide clear heat shrink over them. usually about 6" from the connector. :)

In the days before all the fancy label makers we used to take a slip of paper (think fortune cookie), write what we wanted, and slip it under some clear heat shrink.

I just Googled Brady Labels on the internet and realized theres a lot of fancy label makers they sell, so your not confused heres a link of what I always use.

these are preprinted you can get them preprinted in words, but usually i get the pre-printed A-Z, 0-9
