How deep is it going to be on the ramp? Is a snorkel an option on that model? Wait!....Maybe the light pole is hollow. I knew beer made for better planning.:D

There looks to be a little growth on the bottom of his hull...

What really strikes me about these forums is how quickly new boaters learn how to bash Bayliners so quickly. As soon as I saw this picture I wondered how many replies it would take to hear a Bayliner smear. You did not disappoint.

What? You're not going to chide us about Dodge Bashing too? I sense favoritism here.

That's what pulls my Bayliner!

Actually I can figure that part out pretty much by looking at the picture. Howvever loading up my Boston Whaler will require opening the hatch...the Bayliner can go on top.

I think you've got it all backwards here...I believe those guys were heading south, down Meh-hi-co way on the NAFTA highway, with that Bayliner in the back of the truck sitting on a homemade rack...meaning to pick up another boat on the way to put on the empty trailer. But, a cell-phone Yak-A** cut them off and they stopped short at that utility pole. What we don't see is the following scene, where another NAFTA highway rig pulls up, buys the whole mess outright, welds a hitch on the front of the Dodge, hooks it to the back of an early 70's Ford 1/2 ton pickup and heads south again. Redistribution of wealth they call it. Meanwhile, the first two guys head north for better jobs. Ain't this country...Mexamericanada...great! In a few months, I'll be able to afford a truck-loading Bayliner, too.

I agree, launch and retrieve could be difficult with that set-up. Especially if the boat was kinda hard to start for some reason and your buddy was not good at holding his breath.............upside tho' is that at least you don't have to worry about trailer lights working.... downside is that taking off and putting on the boat cover just got a lot more difficult :D

Yep, we see it every day down here in the "redneck" state of Tejas...kinda like that scene in the original version of the movie "The Getaway," with S. McQueen, A. McGraw and Slim Pickens. They cross the border into Mexico in an old Chevy Apache pickup truck with a load of crap in the back...when questioned by the border guards, Pickens points to the load in the bed and says..."building supplies." The weird part is that the traffic moves both ways...north and south. For every big load of old/used stuff going south, you see semi-truck loads of unlabeled stuff coming north...often times in double and triple trailer loads driven by folks with no license or driving certification. Lord knows what's in those trailers or where it's going, and you better not get in their way. Wish our borders were more secure.

This is NOT a laughing matter!

This is NOT a laughing matter!

ALRIGHT! All of you naughty men are grounded, get to your rooms!
This is NOT a laughing matter!
Now what if one of those beers would have broke open! Huh?
How funny would that have been?
JUST THINK ABOUT THAT FOR AWHILE!
Until I let you out you can start your apology letters, two pages single spaced!
I better see your sincerity come out, and your acknowledgment of ?Just how dangerous? this could have been to the approximately 144 ?INOSENT? beers!
Jeez! The inhumanity of people now days!
And to think some of you are older men that should know better and set a good example of sympathy for our young?ins!

I really have to sit down now for awhile, and think about what I have just read!

OMG!:D

But you notice that the light pole isn't even leaning over. They really know how to put them into the ground here. Or is it that a Dodge isn't built strong enough to push a light standard over?

I'm interested if anyone knows how this happened. The road is straight there and the light is at a yield turnout to go onto a highway. I always figured the driver couldn't decide whether to go straight into town or to turn onto the highway access road, so he hedged his bets and went down the middle into the lamp standard.

BTW the speed limit there is 70 kph (about 40 mph)
