hello all,

i'm new to boating and could use your help.

i want to install a remote controlled search light on top of the bow rail. i've seen other boats with a metal platform that attaches to the very front bow rail and provides a flat surface for mounting that fills that little "bump-out" (excuse me as i have limited boater vocabulary) at the nose of the bow rail.

i've tried searching the internet for something like this platform that i have seen, but haven't come up with anything yet.

help!

thx,
d.

You will have to make the mounting plate. Use a piece of stainless steel, aluminum, or starboard. Then use clamps simular to, or like these to mount the plate to the bow rail, or you could mount the plate directly to the rail. Just wrap the clamp around the rail and attach them to the plate with thru bolts and nuts (nylon locking). The fun comes running the wires up the rail stantions then thru the rail so it's not visible.

Both the starboard and the Force BBQ mount were bought in West Marine locally. I'm sure you can get them from West online.
