I assume you mean for the floor? 1/2" is common in boats this size for floor. Lighter than thicker material and plenty strong for a floor in a bass boat.<br /><br />For the incompatible question? Got me on that one...If it's just orange peel look, I'd wet sand it smooth and shoot it one more time with the same clear.<br />If it looks like "crinkle" finish or "fisheye"...it means something was imcompatible. Alot of time a "crinkle" finish is due to using too much thinner / reducer in the clear. It eats into the color coat. Not enough time between coats can also cause that.<br />Causes are endless, Figuring out the problem can be maddening. Start with the paint store and see if they have heard of the same problem using the same products before.
