How to post a Picture or Calling JB

1. You need to have a place that hosts the pictures first.<br /><br />2.Go to http://www.tinypic.com and post your picture there<br /><br />2a. There are lotsa free sites.<br />You will need to upload your picture(s) to that site.<br />If you can see those picture you should be able to post them here.<br /><br />3. Shareaproject is cool site to share your pictures as is myfishingpictures.com <br />Look at my signature the pictures are there not taking up space here.<br /><br />4. Click full reply form.<br />5. Then you need to click IMAGE lower Right column.<br />6. In this box you will need the address of the picture some sites have a button you need to press and it will give you the address so you can post to autions etc. <br />7. Copy this address to the box.<br />8. Click ok<br />you will get something like <br />{IMG]http://www.sharaproject.com/BIGBOAT.html{/IMG]<br /> <br />9. And then click add reply. <br /><br />>>>I highly suggest you just post a link to the picture as it will be easier on the people with dialup to view the post.<<<<br /><br /><br />Please add this to the FAQ. I am tired of repeating it for all our new members. And some of the older ones too.

JB<br /><br /> realgun is right, <br /><br />in the FAQ (the one next to the search button) there should be an answer on how to post a pic in the forums. To a new guy (or girl) it can be confusing on how to post a pic, due to the fact that it has to be on an off site pic hosting site<br /><br />Not all posters know boats (thats why they come here) and not all posters know what html or ubb code is.<br /><br />you could have a question like: how can I post a pic? And have it point to the same page as can I How do I use html and ubb code. Or something at least on the building/restoration board would be very helpfull.<br /><br />Just my 2 cents thanx for your hard work, and thanx for this site. <br /><br />Its a good idea really.<br /><br />thanx JTK

JB - an idea I saw on a different forum...don't know if it is possible here but something to look into...thumbnail attachments...you can preview the picture and click on it to open it if you want a larger view. Would save some of the dial-up users alot of time when looking at posts that include pictures.
