How to pressure test a lower unit

I need to find a leak in a lower unit. How much pressure is acceptable?

What motor?

Most don't want to see > 15 psig, no limit on vacuum. Drain gear oil 1st. Should hold some pressure or vacuum for at least 45 minutes. If leaking, submerge LU to find leak.
