Ok so I've had my 15' aluminum hull fishing boat for a couple of weeks now and have taken it out twice so far. I got the backing down the ramp and launching down pretty good but I seem to have alota of problems trying to get the stupid thing back out of the water. Let me tell you how I've done it and hopefully you can provide some tips for me.
I back the trailer down into the water about as far as it will go or untill my rear tires are on the edge of the water (I'm towing with a honda civic) The next problem is that my girlfriend can't aim the boat straight up the trailer so I have to get out of the car, get in the boat, and drive it up the trailer then I walk to the front of the boat and latch the seatbelt type thingy to the boat, then I get out of the boat, back in the car, and pull it up the ramp. Problem is the boat is never centered on the trailer and I have to get out and use all my strength to adjust it. quite a pain in the *** and I'm sure there must be a better way to do this. I only have an electric trolling motor (27#) so I can't gun it like some others do that have a gas motor.
Any tips or ideas would be great! Thanks everyone.
