well it did not happen to me but i saw it..was at tn river one memorial day, geting ready to launch, guy on ramp in nice ski rig (ebbtide i think) wife (i suppose) in ford ranger pu, backed boat in water and whil he was trying to get it started, began to screem at woman "PULL UP!!! he had forgot the plug AND THE TRANSOM STRAPS!! trailer filled with water and down she went all the time the woman had the poor little truck's gas pedal to the floor and was burning the tires off it!! somone pulled up in a chevy 4x4 and hooked a chain to front of truck and pulled it out . BOY WAS HE MAD(but stuff happens when you rush).. just be safe out there

Ya, a check list thats a good idea. Never needed<br />one before, but the old brain doesn't have all<br />the bites it once had. I find myself stating to<br />forget things today that I never used to have to<br />worry about. The plug thing Ive always handled<br />by simply putting it back in after I take it out.<br />Although I dont have to take it out very often,<br />the only time water gets into my bilge is if it<br />rains, or water comes over the side. :eek:
