I have a A1 Gen engine model MCM228 I removed 3 bolts from the starter, however It still won't come out. Is there a PDF document of this starter or a word document that explains how to remove a starter from this type of engine. I have a Seloc manual however it doesnt go into how to remove a starter just testing them.

Thank You

not that one. If you reach your hand under the starter and reach around to the other side and feel towards the front you should feel either a nine sixteenth or five eighth stud. It doesnt go straight into the housing it goes upward into the block, I believe. I believe that might be the one you are missing. Leave the one on the side of the engine till last

You may have to remove some of the motor compartment, maybe not. You need to reach under with a wrench and " feel the bolt ". Sometimes some of these bolts are tough. You can find some position where you can get on the bolt and pull it towards you. Did you put the bracket back on and fasten it to the side of the block to keep the starter out of your way?. With mine I had to lay right down in the boat to get in the position to get it
