My Sun Tracker came with a Transom Saver. Engine is supported by the trailer. Good Luck

A bit more info wud be good- Boat-Trailor style-Motor size-T&T?
I have a float on Trailor so no transom saver, 110hp motor - I just put the trim rod in the highest holes & suck the motor down on it- Course I can't see it while driving but it can't bounce -

Can you rig somehting up between the bottom of the engine pod and the lower, that would really be all you need.

Without knowing what trailer you have that is the best I can think of.

haven't ever needed them on my 4 stroke 75 on the back of my pontoon... Raise it up, then flip the tilt locks, and turn the wheel all the way to one side. It won't bounce, the trim cylinders are still locking it in place. The tilt locks are just a secondary safety system.

Why not get some hold downs like you use on the back of boat and wrap them around the motor and then to your trailer and whinch them tight.

How far is it from the lower unit to the 1st crossmember. It looks like a transom saver set at full length should fit it.

It would depend on how far you're towing your boat, and the condition of the roads you're on. Many people just drop their motor down as far as they can and let it go with that. Of course, you don't want to get into any situation where you're going to drag the lower unit.

Or, you can buy a transom saver if you're towing far and on rough roads.

I have a Lowes SS230 with a 115 4 Stroke Merc. Cabelas's indicated that Lowe advised for this model a transom savor is not necessary. They did recommend that the motor be tilted all the way down when traveling.

If you do a lot of towing or tow long distances...don't fool around...get something adequate to shore up your transom...I got lucky on mine and the factory covered it...GL
