Re: how to tell the date of a johnson engine
here in lies the problem my friend. The motor identification plate is missing from the engine. i got the serial number from the freeze plugs. I spoke with someone at my local marina and he told me the engine was probably an early seventies because it is dark green on the shaft? sound right to you? also does it make a differance when ordering new wiring harness?thanks alot for the help
