Hello,
I have a 1992 200 HP Yamaha. I would like to know how to perform a test on the stator while the stator has been removed from the engine. I looked up the specs in the manual and they are listed as "low speed" and "high speed". Do you know which of these tables I shold look at? And also which wires to test across? That is my main question...I do not know which wires to connect to the ohm meter. I have one bundle that contains 3 green wires and another bundle that contains 1 red, 1 brown, 1 blue, and 1 black/red.

Just to answer the question that I am sure will be asked, I am testing my old stator because I am not really trusting my mechanic and want to be sure on this issue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Put your leads on black red and blue and brown and red I believe. This is for your high and low side coils. The green leads are for your charge system and they should read very little resistance. I am not positive on the colors on your ignition coils but just see what 2 wires have continuity and the lower ohms is the high side.
