I have a 1986 Johnson 110 hp that I think the fuel pump part of the VRO is not working. I am not getting an oil alarm. What is the correct procedure for verifying the proper operation?

Thanks

Remove the line going to the carbs and install a fuel pressure guage.

Ran great last time till it just plain quit, now wont stay running unless I squirt gas/oil combination in carb, then it seems to just want to keep going... until I stop the flow of fuel..

Are there any cracked fuel lines that might allow the pump to suck air? Try pumpimg the primer bulb and see if it will run as long as you keep pumping the bulb.
If so, your fuel pump might be defective.
