How to test run '93 6HP?

Is there a flush/test connection for a hose that I can't see?The only water inlet I see is on leading edge of lower exhaust - doesn't look amenable to muffs etc

Take a large garbage can and fill it at least half full. Hang the motor on it (making sure the water is above the cavitation plate) and you can run the motor at idle speed. Water muffs won't work on your motor.

The company that made flushettes for motors like yours called it quits a few years ago (Tempo Products).

Update:
Bot motor for $250 yard sale; now runs fine in tub; will check on Lake Champlain's record flood this weekend

Lake Champlain?!! Them's my stompin' grounds!! Be carefull out there, lot's of flotsum because of the flooding!
