How To Tilt Motor Manually

Tilt motor stopped working recently.I loosened the screw on the port side of the motor mount near the water line to lower the motor manually.I tried to do the same to lift the motor while standing in the water and pulling up on the lower unit.I could not get it to move at all.Is there another way to raise the motor manually because I have to pull the boat out of the water this week.It is a 1995 150hp Oceanpro.Charlie

Don't know if it will work on a big motor but::try putting it in forward.

Do you mean push the throttle to engage fwd???
