I am fixing damage to the flywheel and crank shaft when nut loosened. I am not sure how to prep this area before reassembly... some polishing compound got down this area (see pic) I cleeaned it with carb cleaner on a rag... Now do I need to lube here? Or under the cam? What is necessary? Thanks, Tom

I assume you're asking about the timer base support ring assembly. Remove the brass ring, grease it on both sides, top and bottom. then reinstall it.

Just want your opinion... What type of grease do you use? I have the grease I use on my trailer bearings... is that the right type? I also have some white lithium... What is your opinion?
