I would like to remove my 1964 johnson 90hp meteor and replace with a 1967 evinrude 100hp . the connector to the johnson is hardwired no plug. the rude has a rectangle plug. also the evinrude has most of the control box items on the motor as for the johnson there in a box on the boat. can i just match up wires?

No, they are very different electrical systems. Besides, that 1964 box & cables is pretty valuable. It should stay with the motor, or the motor is pretty useless. If the motor is junk, sell the junction box & cables.
