how to wire in a tach

i am wanting to hook up a tachometer to my 1988 johnson 60hp vro 3cyl motor.

first of all, is this possible? and how would i wire it in... i dont know if i shoul post this in johnson or not, but ill try here first...

and what type of tach can i get...

if you know of a post that this has been answered let me know......

Look on the back side of your remote control below the key switch. There should be a half-moon plug for a wiring harness. This harness will have the 3 wires you need to hook up the Tach. I think iboats sells them or your dealer will have one. Teleflex and others make Tachs. for your motor.
