Here are pics of my bilge pump and float switch which came undone from the hull of my boat. My question is how is the hull of my boat made? Its a 1988 grady white 204c overnighter. It looks like the bilge was set in the fiberglass but what I cant tell is if there is wood in the hull? Also it looks like a motor mount next to it but what is that for? I am going to dry it out and glue the bilge back down. Is there any other things I should be aware of. Thanks

Would love to help, but all I got from that link was a thumbnail sized picture and at 400% magnifications, it kind of blurry.

You can 'blog' your project for FREE at www.shareaproject.com and its also a great way to store pictures to link with forum posts.

Re: How was it made?

The picture of the indentation sure looks like there is wood in there.. but that could be just the imprint from the block that came loose.

To reinstall the block, dry the area out, put some 3M 5200 on the block and stick it back in..

Are there wires coming out the top of that 'engine mount', is there a chance its a through hull transducer for a fish finder?

ps. the direct link to your project is: http://www.shareaproject.com/pages/projectTut,p,359,00.html

when you're in the project, click on the tutorial button. Then copy and paste the URL from the address line of your browser into a forum post. Much easier with Firefox browser where I have something like 15 different web pages open all at once..

Re: How was it made?

Its really dirty in the indentation. I think its fiberglass but I didn't know how those hulls are made. And there are no wires coming out of the motor mount just a stud. I thought that it could be an attachment for the original bilge pump.
