Re: How/Where to get rid of an unwanted Hull

If I am not mistaken, the Chysler is just an older Force. The values of Force motors are very low. I owned a pontoon with a force. A lot of people would not come out to see it just for that reason. If you notice I did not put them down. But from a value perspective it is not nearly as valuable as say a similar vintage Johnson/Evinrude.

Now if you only have $200 in it, parting it out may be somewhat profitable. Some of the Force part, such as the switchbox, could get expensive.

Update on where to get rid of a hull.
Strip it and take it to landfill.

Well I am on package # 6 now.
Not many really, but considering I have only been playing with boats for a little over a year now I figure I am rolling along.
Local landfill takes the hull with np at all. Most I have paid is $45 (current rate is $63 per metric ton) Trailers are sold in a week at most and bringing in more than I pay for the package. :)
Wish I had more room, I would gladly do more of this. 2 have provided me with my peices (steering, engine OMC 3.8 and 800 Stringer etc....) and a full set of spares for my Cobia.
The rest I have ended up selling parts etc....pretty quickly. Chrysler motor sold for $300.... :)

whenever i want to get rid of something i put it by the road with a for sale sign, just make up a price, say $100. Somebody will steal it within a week guaranteed! Did it with a few old lawnmowers, furniture ect.

You might want to check with the local Fire Dept. and/or Coast Guard (auxiliary). They sometimes will take an old boat hull and use it for training (sinking/putting out boat fire, etc.).
