In the pic below i nedd to modify the bimini top frame to be a square. that is where i have my grill mounted. I really don't want to mount it on the transom cause of the kids swiming and getting in and out of the boat.

What about being able to slide it Aft while you BBQ and then when done just put it back?
That way you don't have to shorten it permantly just in case it rains, and still blocks the uv rays.

Thought about that. Then i was thinking the top might want to fall towards the front of the boat

Don't know if this'll work but here's my thought:
move the main bow anchor points to the bottom of your arch. You'd have to shorten the ends of both the main and secondary bows but the rear supports should be OK as-is.
Essentially, you'd be changing the angle of the main bow but leaving the curved points the same. That should give enough clear space at the sides for a grill.
What do you think???

That might be possible. Well have to check a few things. Were finally getting the boat into shape. Were redoing all the canvas and vinyl. The only thing i have to look at is where the side curtains snap into the arch. Were redoing the whole camper enclosure as well
