This is the first time opened and no factory locktight is present, the manual says nothing about it and here in Canada the locktight is too frozen to sqweeze out of the bottle.... jus kidden ya.Is this what you do, if so , its probably a good idea.
Not sure it's necessary... it can't hurt and might help so... just something I have always done on Rod Bolts and Main Bearing Bolts..<br />I spin my motors between 10 and 11 thousand Rpms..I try for any edge I can get to make them stay together... Most important thing is Torque to speck... Tighter is not better.. I have over torqued some rod bolts just to see what happens.. you can strech them a good half inch..and reduce the diameter of the unthreaded part by almost half...
