Hp and year from serial number

Does anyone know how to decode the year and hp from this serial number?
Or where to find the info?

Its a evenrude,looks like a 9.9

6502 = 1965 6hp Evinrude

"fat fingers" on the year ... sorry!

I was told it was a 65 year from marineengines.com
Any other input?

I get 1965 6Hp also.

There was no 6HP in 1962; it was a 5.5HP in 1962.

No doubt about it, it is a 1965 6hp.

6502: 6=six horsepower, 5=last digit in "1965", 0=recoil start, 2=short shaft.
