Hub slid back on prop?

I have A 1975 mercury 150 Hp inline. I found A used SS prop and it is coming apart. Well I think is called the hub it has slid back about an inch and I cant get the prop nut on. We tried to press it back and no luck. Is there A trick to this?

I believe you will have to have that prop re-hubed. The good news is it's not too expensive to do, & any prop shop in your area will do it. Make sure it is the right prop for your engine, ask at the prop shop they will know if it is, & can put the required hub in place if not. Don't forget the thrust washer, very Important. Good luck, Joe
