So my hull had started growing a beard...literally. Warmer than normal June...higher water temps...I had these small growths that looked like spiders with hundreds of legs all over the hull. I meant to take pictures but I forgot the camera.

Hauled it out tonite...trailered it an hour home to the high pressure car wash. You know the kind...put the quarters in...grab your wand . I used one of the cheap pump sprayers and Seasence Hull Cleaner no dilution.

I was pleased with the results. Being that we got a late start we didn't get to the wash place until 10 so it was pretty dark. Sprayed the stuff on and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Probably would have worked better if I would have let it sit longer, and I would have applied more of the cleaner...really soaked the affected areas. It's by no means perfect. Still have some scrubbing to do tomorrow but it made the beard come off much easier than if I'd have just hit it with pressure.

Yeah that stuff works awesome. I had my boat docked for a week in scummy lake michigan and it made quick work of slime/growth. I just took the nozzle from an empty bottle of glass cleaner and screwed it onto the acid bottle. Spray and sit. My only gripe is that I got a bit on my trim tab rams and it discolored them. Oh well.

I have used a non acid based cleaner that works as well as toilet bowl cleaner. It is safer to use and no need to worry about overspray. I had no problem to get the "beard" off the bottom!
