First off, I dilute the cleaner to 4:1. Still works very well. Hose the trailer down real well with water from top to bottom. Don't miss any part of it that could possibly come in contact with the cleaner.
Apply the cleaner using a garden sprayer on mist. Once around the boat with the cleaner then rinse everything down real well. Start by rinsing the boat then and work your way down to the trailer. Spend some extra time on the trailer to make sure it's rinsed completely.
I clean my boat twice a year and have never had a problem with the trailer "burn".
Even my SS prop has some algae on it......I loved having hte boat in the water but I feel like I just took 10 years off of it....It was pristine before I put it in.....I also heard it is best to do this right away after pulling the boat out.....Is there any validity to that?
Thanks
PS It stinks talking about putting her away......
how do you guys clean the part of the hull that sits on the runners on the trailer?
only way I can see to do it would be to use blocks.
if I spray the hull cleaner on while the boat's on the trailer, will the cleaner penetrate enough to clean the part of the hull that's under the runners the boat's resting on?
