Hull Damage Repair

I found some damage. Not sure if a recent brush with a rock did this or previous owner and i didn't catch it when i recently purchased. it's hidden on bottom of the boat but looks deep. What to do? can i repair it myself? any advice on how if it's a diy?

That's not very bad at all and yes you can fix it yourself. Fiberglass repairs are fairly easy prided everything is clean and sanded. These videos will help you get started.

Gel coat repair kit be done in a few hours. Just do it.

I would repair it and then add a keel guard

Looks like your off to a good start already, just repair it and not worry. It won't take that long to fix and you'll be back in the water before you know it.

As deep as it looks it's something you should take care of right away. That can be repaired in one day. Taking it out again is only going to get water in the cracks and you have to wait for it dry completely before you work on it.
