G'day all,

Just warming up to the season, and noticed some damage to my"new" used boat. There is so much info on this site, i thought it may serve me well to ask if anyone has a short cut to a thread, link, or reccomendations on this type of repair. Vessel is a cvx16. Here is a pic

Re: Hull danage

oh my:eek: Typically one would want to grind/sand all the loose material away. Then using the grinder and flap disk you want to bevel the outer edges of your crack out to 6" or so on all sides. Then using resin and fiberglass you would build that thickness that you ground out back up using overlapping pieces of cloth. I cant tell you what type of glass unless you say if you would use epoxy or poly resin. If you have access to the backside of that crack it would sure help to do the same process in there. Good luck and check your bilge, you have to be taking on water with that big of a tear. Make sure that water hasnt started to soak into the wood portions of your boat.
