You can count on it!! Now it just has to stay warm enough to repeat the test!

OK, I watched both vids a couple of times and, at least to me, I noticed a fairly significant difference...
In the first one the engine sounds like it is struggling and the boat definitely doesn't seem to get on plane...more than 3/4 of the boat looks like it is running in the water...
In the second one, it seems to jump on plane much quicker and run smoother, only the back half of the hull is running in the water, and the engine sounds much freer and seems to rev nicer...
From this distance, I would say, "SUCCESS!"
What was your "seat of the pants" impression?

Yup you've cleanly nailed it in every sense. She still pitches slightly (expected because there was still a slight hook remaining on the bad side and I didn't want to load it with filler) but otherwise it responds entirely differently. the engine works way less and planing seems effortless. One difference I'd add that's not obvious to anyone not used to it before and after: When throwing it into a tight turn, the rear end glides sideways on the water and that's something it did NOT do whatsoever before. I cannot explain how impressed I am with the improvements. Now to slap the 85HP on it and try that out! LOL

Here's a better A-> B, A-> B comparison video sewn together from similar angles etc. You can really hear the engine's revs difference when I actually went to WOT in both cases.
