I rebuilding a 1992 Bayliner Capri which is currently on stands. I have a bunch of questions which are all related to prep and paint, I'll try to be concise
- How do I find the water line for this boat and do I really need an above and below water line paint here? I'm not sure what are the considerations here other than drag
- What paint would you recommend for this boat (and why) and in turn, what kind of process do you suggest to follow in term of preparation for painting?
- Can I remove the gunwale off the boat while it's on blocks and prep + paint it separately from the hull? will the hull hold its structure on the blocks while the gunwale is off? (the boat has a floor)
- Same question as #2 for the gunwale - which prep and paint to use?
