Thanks for your opinions on Bayliner, Glastron and Crownline. I've recently looked at a couple of Crownline bowriders at a local dealer (no deck boats on hand). All the detailed extras gave the impression of a "luxury" car like a Caddy. The cockpit seemed a bit crowded, though.

Whether that GS series cruiser you mentioned is or is not a VEC hull, your collision story is an impressive example of Glastron's hull durability. Thanks for your input.

After looking at the pictures of your boat, I went to the Chris Craft website to view their models. Unless I've got the wrong Chris Craft, they seem to have gone out of the deck boat business. Am I wrong?

Current builders of the fancier fiberglass I/O deckboats are Azure, Chaparral, Crownline, Ebbtide, Four Winns, Kayot, Monterey, Regal, and Sea Ray. Chris-Craft dropped these several years back. Here is a link that shows some of these -
