what is the resin used to make the hull of a 1998 Sprint boat. Have repairs to make. Its either SMC or polyester

Hi

I don't know anything at all about your type of boat but the info seems to be out there.
Cording to the applied site, I can't find any models at all made of 1998 in anything else than FG.

yes it is FG, just trying to figure which type was used so proper repair can be made.

Welcome aboard.

Use regular Non-waxed fiberglass resin for your repair and you will be fine. Do not be tempted by the off the shelf Bondo products.

Your boat is made from Standard Polyester Resin. You should use Standard Laminating Non Waxed Polyester resin like the 435 resin sold by uscomposites.
