I am fixing up an old 1977 20' boat and have a couple questions about some small hull repairs.

After stripping the carpet out, and scraping the deck and sanding the junk off, there are some screw holes that need to be filled, some slight cracks (stress cracks?) some air bubble type holes in the center section and some foam injection points that I need to cover/fill or repair. Any suggestions to what I should use?? Marine Tex, Body Filler, Marine Caulking, etc???
I am going to use a deck coating when i'm done, NOT carpet.

Thank you

Re: Hull Repairs (Fiberglass)

It's hard to tell the exact size of the holes with nothing around them for comparison, but on small srew holes 5200 or Marine Tex will work will work, the bigger the holes the more involved it can get. on those bubbles you could use the same thing. This is assuming none of these need to look good.

If you want to fix stress cracks you need to start sanding and glassing, again, it will be more involved if these are in a place they will be seen.

Forgot about the last line where you are going to use a deck coating.

Most things aren't going to stick to 5200 all that well.

Most will stick to epoxy........unless you plan to use gel coat as the coating.
