I'm new to the forums and looking for some help.

I need to repair the hull off my boat as the gel coat is worn away because of beaching the boat and think its starting to take a little water on. Only recently purchased the boat and I'm looking for some info on what is the best way to repair this. Can I just put more gel coat on or do I have to re-fiberglass it?

The boat is a 91 Maxum 1800xr

Please Help

Re: Hull Repairs

Keel Guard will help if you've scored the keel by running up the beach.

It won't help any if you've got general grazing over a larger area. For that, you need repair techniques and materials.

Short answer is, Richy, it can be done. Just takes a bit of skill and patience and your boat'll look like new.
