Trim tabs both passive and and powered can be very effective. they mount at the bottom of the transom do require holes drilled to mount, with proper procedures, sealer etc.to prevent water intrusion.Both types of tabs can improve hole shot help stay on plane at less power,steady the ride and improve no wake speed wander.You should be sure the boat is trimmed and weight distributed carefully for best performance.Then make the decision about tabs.Tabs will not help a boat that tends to plow or is bow heavy.
