Adoseth, did you get your cap reattached or are you out bringing in some of them big reds ?:)

Not yet on the Cap, Im going to take her out tomorrow for a test drive just to see if the motor is going to be ok, if so the family and I will cruise around the river a bit till i get low on fuel then return home but i will eventually dig that PB out of there and glass it , possibly i will re-PB the whole cap

Ya know I was thinking [that could be dangerous :rolleyes ] If you glass in the cap from the inside I don,t see any reason to have to cut out the old filler. The stuff is really kind of tuff. Then maybe a small bead of the pb or caulking to dress it up. If the hull was flipped it would be easy to pb . With the hull right side up you would have to make the pb pretty thick and use a putty knife to lay it up in there. If your not going to paint the hull then I think just some type caulk would prolly be easier if it,s just the small crack along the hull.
I was also just kinda wondering seeing as though I am doing the same thing to my boat If we glass in the cap from the inside if it ever needs to come off it would be a real PITA to remove. Can you think of any reason why the cap should ever have to come off?
Certainly not to have to replace our transom!:p
