To anyone that owns a Lowrance or HB down imaging unit, seen these at BassPro running on Sim and they look like they'll give an image almost like an underwater camera. If a fish is targeted what image does it give compared to my Lowrance X67c or my HB 385CI Combo standard arch's.. Do these Down Imaging units actually display the fish seen,,????

The DI will pick-up fish, but will be harder than finding arches on 2D. That HB should have an over / under option, where you can see both a DI and 2D. The 2D will draw your attention to an object and the DI will provide more details (especially structure) on what it is.

I just purchased the HB 597 HD DI. The down imaging will show fish, The images of fish on the DI will be white specks or lighter depending on your settings. Here is an image from HB. Notice the arch's in the 2 d compared to specs in Down Imaging.

Thx Flatchy, the 2D image I'm used to compared to the DI image is quite a difference. The structure image is awesome and such detail.

Why are the limbs of the tree arching?
